My travels

The beginning of all sunsets

The sun that sets in the Pacific North West is not subtle. It flames across the sky, capturing clouds in a radiance of amber, rich scarlet and a crisp orange haze all smeared smoothly over a canvas. The warmth of the rays are just enough to calm you, becoming more tranquil and majestic as it dies down.

As the sun elegantly faded, I didn't want it to end. Just like my passion for traveling.
Continually different and always leaving you to want more.

My best friend passed away this year and that's when it hit me. You could really die at any given moment.  If you were to die today and had a list of things to accomplish,  could you say you've accomplished most of them, or are more left unaccomplished?

I kept telling myself, I want to travel, I want to learn another language, I want to experience new cultures
I want to... I want to... I want to...
So what's stopping me?

It was time to get out of my comfort zone and seek the unknown. We only have this present moment. The future is promised to no one. Now is the time to do whatever needs to be done.  And this is where it started...the beginning of all sunsets.

Lemony Snicket once said, "If we wait until we're ready, we'll be waiting for the rest of our lives."

1, 2, 3... Go!

To my best friend,
My love for you, endless like the sunsets
Rest in paradise my angel

About Me

My photo
When we focus our energy towards constructing a passionate, meaningful life, we are tossing a pebble into the world, creating a beautiful ripple effect of inspiration. When one person follows a dream, tries something new or takes a daring leap, everyone nearby feels that energy, and before too long they are making their own daring leaps and inspiring yet another circle. —Christine Mason Miller
